Ultra-precision machining is an advanced manufacturing technology with the goal of high precision. Nano-precision is known as the crown jewel of ultra-precision machining technology. Western developed countries regard it as a strategic resource and strictly restrict exports. Facing the dilemma of China's optical component manufacturing level, the National Defense University Precision Engineering Innovation Team, led by Professor Li Shengyi, skipped the first and second generation optical component manufacturing processing technology and directly aimed at the third generation optical processing method based on controllable flexible body manufacturing To solve problems, for the first time in China, we developed two kinds of super-precision polishing equipment with independent intellectual property rights, such as magnetorheological and ion beam, which created the miracle of "Chinese precision" in the processing of sub-nanometers in China's optical parts, making China's optical automation processing technology and process a leap Entering the world's advanced level, it has become the third country after the United States and Germany to master the manufacturing technology of high-precision optical parts, and it is also the only country in the world that has both R & D capabilities for magnetorheological and ion beam polishing equipment.

In the past three years, the team has cooperated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, China Aviation Industry Corporation, etc. to promote the development of China's space optics and high-end equipment manufacturing, and independently developed two major categories of 7 models of magnetorheological and ion beam polishing machine tools. Provided technical support and equipment support for three major national science and technology projects such as "Very Large Scale Integrated Circuit Manufacturing Equipment and Complete Processes" and "High Resolution Earth Observation System", and solved a series of technical problems that restricted its innovation and development. The team has successively won the "Outstanding Contribution Award" and "Outstanding Achievement Award" issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
