1. What is an infrared thermometer
Any object with temperature higher than absolute zero (0 K or - 273.15 ℃) will emit electromagnetic radiation from the surface, and the radiation is proportional to the inherent temperature of the object. In this kind of radiation, infrared radiation for temperature measurement is included. When the radiation passes through the atmosphere, it can be concentrated on the detector with the help of a special lens.

The detector then generates an electrical signal proportional to the radiation. The signal is amplified and transformed into an output signal proportional to the temperature of the object through continuous digital signal processing. In this way, the temperature measurement value will be displayed on the display, and the color image which is easy to identify will be output. This is the working principle of the external thermal imaging thermometer.

The commonly used infrared temperature detectors can be divided into two types: infrared thermal imaging temperature rapid screening instrument and infrared thermometer (infrared ear thermometer and infrared forehead thermometer, etc.).
For residential and commercial super scenes, infrared thermometer or hand-held infrared thermal imaging thermometer can basically meet the needs. The infrared thermometer has the advantages of simple equipment, convenient use and affordable price, which can realize the orderly and rapid temperature measurement for personnel.

However, for large-scale scenes, it is difficult to find the overtemperature target quickly in the crowded public places, especially when a large number of people pass by. This requires infrared thermal imaging temperature rapid screening instrument for large area monitoring, automatic tracking, alarm high temperature area, with visible light video, quickly find and track the personnel with high temperature. When the infrared thermal imaging temperature rapid screening instrument integrates face recognition, mobile phone probe, AI and other technologies, it can also grasp more information about people with higher body temperature.
2. Under the "return to work" tide, the demand for multiple scenarios increases again
On January 30, 2020, the State Council issued the "emergency notice on organizing enterprises to resume work and production of infrared body temperature detectors and supporting parts", which included infrared body temperature detectors into key materials for epidemic prevention and control.

On February 2, Wang Wei, director of the Department of raw materials industry of the Ministry of industry and information technology, said in response to a reporter's question that so far, the return to work rate of infrared temperature detector enterprises has reached about 50%. In China, a total of 20000 infrared temperature detectors and more than 300000 hand-held temperature detectors have been required; It is estimated that 60000 automatic infrared temperature detectors and 550000 hand-held temperature detectors will be needed nationwide. At present, the daily output of China's automatic infrared temperature detectors has reached about 800, and the daily production capacity is expected to reach 1500 in the future. The daily production capacity of hand-held temperature detectors can reach 15000.
At present, it is the post Festival labor tide, and all walks of life have started. Under this background, the demand for more application scenarios of infrared body temperature detector has been stimulated again.
