Optical ball cover is mainly used to protect the application of precision instruments, equipment and cameras in harsh environment. In addition to the common and low cost optical glass ball cover, Berna can also produce high-precision quartz glass ball cover.
The common fused quartz glass is divided into ultraviolet quartz glass and infrared quartz glass. The UV quartz glass has a relatively good transmittance at 190nm-2650nm, but it will be absorbed at 2200nm and 2650nm. The infrared quartz glass has a good optical transmittance at 280nm-3800nm.
If the target is protected and applied to the ultraviolet band, the UV quartz glass is a better choice. It is assumed that the infrared quartz glass will be more suitable for the infrared band. At the same time, compared with the common optical glass h-k9l, n-bk7, the mechanical strength and chemical properties of quartz glass are better, but the price of its wool blank is far higher than that of the common optical glass.
