With the development of laser application in industry, the demand for higher power and shorter wavelength is gradually extended. As the core of laser application, the improvement of fiber laser technology is particularly important. Domestic fiber lasers are gradually developing in the direction of higher power, smaller volume and more stable operation. However, most of the ten thousand watt lasers on the market are multi-mode lasers. These products are often large in size, with many accessories and many hidden troubles. Therefore, improving the output power of single laser module and optimizing the structure of the whole machine become the key to further optimize the laser performance.
At present, there are many domestic manufacturers of 10000 watt lasers, but in terms of 100000 watt level, especially single module laser manufacturers are few. On March 17, at the grand banquet of optoelectronic technology industry at Shanghai Munich optical Expo, the domestic 100000 watt laser devices made a lot of eyes, and of course showed the domestic muscles. 1. Big family laser 20000 watt fiber laser released
The new product launch of Han's laser Intelligent Equipment Group officially released Han's laser 20kW ultra high power fiber laser, attracting many industry experts, customers and media celebrities to witness and praise.
Through top-level strategic layout and system planning, Han's laser has obtained more than 100 patent technologies, including upstream optical material research, pump source packaging, core optical fiber device development, midstream complete machine research and development, mass production and manufacturing, and downstream high-power application solutions. In 2020, more than 100 sets of Han's 10000 watt photonic fiber lasers will be sold and applied in the market.

From the field cutting effect, the cutting quality of single module 12KW laser is better than that of multimode laser. Compared with the previous multi-mode 12KW laser, the volume and weight of single-mode 12KW laser are reduced by more than 60% and 40% respectively. In addition, the beam quality of single-mode 12KW laser is better (75 μ M core diameter can be selected @ BPP < 2.5mm x mrad), and the cutting efficiency of thin plate and medium plate is also greatly improved.
According to Ruike laser, when cutting 1-10mm stainless steel with nitrogen, the efficiency of 12KW single module laser is more than 70% higher than that of multimode laser, and that of 12-30mm laser is more than 30%; When cutting 1-6 mm carbon steel with air, the efficiency of single module laser is more than 70% higher than that of multimode laser, and that of 10 mm laser is 40%. At the same time, the single module laser simplifies the optical path, circuit, water cooling and other systems between modules, the structure is simpler, the hidden trouble is reduced, and the reliability is greatly improved.
When it comes to 100000 watts, I have to mention that IPG already exhibited 120000 watts of fiber lasers at the 2017 Munich optoelectronics exhibition, but only sold industrial lasers with the highest power of 15kw in the Chinese market (at that time, 15kw was only for pre-sale, in fact, the highest power on the market was only 12KW). At that time, the domestic laser was in the critical period of tackling the key problem from kW to MW. Although some domestic enterprises were able to realize the output of mW laser, they were still unable to realize industrial production and application. Four years later, the 100000 watt domestic laser finally broke the foreign monopoly and entered the industrial market.
100000 watt or higher power laser is of great significance to industry, scientific research, national defense and other fields. In the domestic industry, the penetration rate of laser is less than 10%, and there is a huge space for upgrading and replacing the traditional process equipment. In the cold processing direction, ultrafast laser undertakes the important task of developing application and expanding market, while in the hot processing direction, ultra-high power laser undertakes this important task. With the gradual maturity of ultra-high power technology, more high-end application markets will be opened, and the future can be expected!
